- Payment is due by the first lesson of each month.
- If payment has not been received by the second lesson, lessons will be suspended until payment is made.
- Payments can be made through personal check or cash only.
- If a check is returned for insufficient fees, a $10 penalty will be assessed. Lessons will be suspended until payments and fees are collected in full.
- I charge up front for the month so students will be more committed to coming each week. If a situation arises and students are unable to attend a lesson, please call as soon as possible. Notice must be given from the parents, not the students.
- Families who notify me ahead of time of a missed lesson are eligible to make up that lesson. Parents may call or email to schedule a make-up lesson.
- Families who fail to attend a lesson WITHOUT previous notice given are NOT eligible for a make-up lesson.
- If I cancel a lesson, the student will be eligible for a make-up lesson. Parents may call or email to schedule a make-up lesson.
- I will make every effort to be available for make-up lessons, but it is the parents' responsibility to schedule the lessons. It does not have to occur during the month a lesson is missed, but it will not occur until it is scheduled by the parent.
Lesson Policies
- Students should arrive a few minutes early for lessons in order to start on time. I make every effort to start and end each lesson on time, and to work for the full amount of time you have scheduled. I expect the same from my students.
- Students should come prepared with a pencil, lesson books, and their practice folder with completed practice sheets.
- Parents may drop off students or wait in my home for students to finish. Siblings with back to back lessons may wait in the home if they can occupy themselves quietly while waiting for their turn.
- If you would like to discuss your child's progress or any other concerns, please call me to discuss or to arrange a time to meet in person, as I most likely will have another lesson beginning after your child's lesson.
- All parents will be asked to sign a form stating you have read and reviewed these policies, and agree to follow them.
